ADEL, Iowa (WOI TV) - Sumpter Pharmacy, hosted Senator Grassley, former US Representative David Young running for Iowa House and Representative Newland along with a dozen community pharmacists and Adel community members to discuss concerns about ensuring access to community pharmacies and appropriate compensation for medications and services in those pharmacies.
PHARMACIES HOSTING CLINICS

PEOSTA, Iowa (KCRG) - MercyOne Dubuque Pharmacy has held other COVID-19 vaccination clinics, like the one at the Peosta Community Center on Friday. But while Friday’s wasn’t the first, organizers say it was the biggest one they have done thus far.
Usually, they would vaccinate around 1,000 people. But on Friday, they vaccinated closer to 2,100.



VACCINATION EFFORTS CONTINUE

OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - On Friday, JBS workers in Ottumwa had the chance to receive the one-shot, Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Wells Hometown Drug, a Bloomfield pharmacy, partnered with Wapello County Public Health and and JBS to vaccinate 1,300 JBS workers. A mobile vaccination clinic was set up inside the meatpacking plant. Local government officials like Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Cherielynn Westrich were both in attendance to witness employee vaccinations at one of the area’s largest employers.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Drilling Pharmacy in Sioux City is teaming up with the local library for an upcoming vaccination clinic.
After receiving over 1,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, Drilling Pharmacy decided they needed a bigger location to vaccinate people at. So, they reached out to their neighbors across the street at the Sioux City Public Library....



Main At Locust

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Main at Locust Pharmacy Clinic and Medical Supplies is starting vaccination efforts at their retail site this week.
The pharmacy and it’s sister clinics were previously focusing on vaccinating long term care facilities.
“So we are so excited to and we are ready for this. We have been ready and we’ve just been waiting for it,” says Brooke Weber, Director of Clinical Services at Main at Locust.
COVID VACCINE ADMINISTRATION

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - (Iowa's News Now) — Iowa joined the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program last week. The partnership between the government, states, and participating pharmacies allows distribution of coronavirus vaccines directly to pharmacies.
In Iowa, the federal government has chosen to work with Hy-Vee and CPESN (Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Network) to start. CPESN is a network of community pharmacies with around 120 in Iowa.
